Welcome our new Ellis Assistant Principal

Welcome
 Mrs. Artesha Adamson

Greetings Ellis Community! I am thrilled to be named the Assistant Principal of Ellis Elementary. I have been an elementary educator for 11 years in the Prince William County Public School System. During my tenure as a classroom teacher, I have taught grades 2-4. I have had the opportunity to educate over 250 students in Prince William County during my time as a classroom teacher, and I am very excited about this new chapter in my career.

I will be departing from Bel Air Elementary, where I’ve had the pleasure of leading Saturday Academy and the BACK (Bel Air Camp Kindergarten) Program. These programs have been extremely beneficial to many students of the Bel Air Community, both academically and socially.

I have three beautiful daughters and a terrific husband. During my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending quality time with my family and friends.

I am delighted to become a part of the Ellis family. I consider this opportunity to be an honor and privilege. I look forward to getting to know the wonderful students, parents, and staff of the Ellis Community.

Congratulations Ellis 5th Graders

Attention all 5th graders
All rising 6th graders are required to have a Tdap immunization BEFORE they can enter middle school. Please bring record of the immunization to the school nurse. I will record the date, place a copy in the student's file, and notify the middle school. Students will not be allowed to enter middle school, nor will lockers and schedules be assigned without record of the completed Tdap. I am happy to answer any questions and help make this transition to middle school smooth.

Strawberry Watermelon Kiwi Popsicles

These strawberry watermelon kiwi popsicles are a perfect use for leftover watermelon you have in the fridge and can even rescue a watermelon that was less-than-amazing (we all get those sometimes, right?). The sweetness of the strawberries and the little tart undertone from the lime and kiwi make this the perfect, naturally-sweet treat.
As an added bonus, watermelon contains plenty potassium and magnesium, which help restore your body’s electrolyte balance after spending all that time running around or sweating in the sun.
